Released in November 2009, the Nokia N97 mini offered a more compact version on the original N97, a popular handset in its own right. Rather than excel in one area, the N97 mini provides excellent all round performance. It is now available in an attractive white colour variant.
The N97 Mini measures 113x52.5x14.2mm and weighs in at 138g. Bluetooth version 2.0 is installed as standard. This allows direct transfer of media files and other data between compatible Bluetooth devices. GPS is included with A-GPS support.
The N97 Mini is equipped with an impressive digital camera boasting 5MP. This operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x1944 pixels and features Carl Zeiss optics, leaving no doubts about the quality of the camera. Included features of this camera are autofocus, dual LED flash and a video light. The popular geo-tagging facility is also present, whereby users can tag the location at which a photo was taken. The camera can also shoot video as an alternative to taking still images. This is in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second.
An impressive media player supports several formats of both music and video files. These can easily be transferred to and from a computer by using the microUSB (v2.0).
