Why Own A LED TV?: The Samsung LED Viewing Experience

The television viewing experience has been elevated to a whole new level with the introduction of ultra-stylish and functional LED TVs. These flat panel TV monitors have taken the world by storm, and just about any home or office right now has one. For some, ownership of a LED TV is a symbol of success.

But what is a LED TV?

A LED TV is basically an LCD TV that employs LED backlighting instead of the usual flourescent lighting behind traditional LCD screens. There are two types of LED: the Dynamic RGB LED which is located behind the panel, and the white Edge-LED, which can found around the rim of screen, supposedly to help spread the light more evenly on the screen. This results in a crisper images that appear to jump on you, thereby enhancing one's viewing experience.

The key feature of LED TVs, and perhaps the reason why a lot of people are buying it, is its extremely slim build. In fact, there are some models that are just about one-inch thick, or roughly the size of a huge picture frame. This contributes greatly to the design aesthetic and is much appreciated because it takes up a lot less space.

Why Choose LED TV?

Three reasons:

1. They produce better pictures that make films look life-like.

2. They don't take up space and are very stylish.

3. They are environment friendly.

LED TVs boast of being environment-friendly in a sense that they cause less pollution when they are disposed. In addition, LED TVs consume much less power, or around 40 per cent of the regular TV of the same size. The green movement recommends the use of this technology.

The Samsung LED TV

Samsung is one of the earliest manufacturers of LED television displays and remains the leader of the market up to today. With its exclusive LCD 100 Hz video quality enhancement feature, a screen is able to display around 50 frames every second and can help create fast-moving videos.

Samsung has won several awards for its LED displays, including the highly-coveted Innovation Award from the European Image and Sound Association for its very impressive 40-inch LCD TV powered with the LED backlight technology. The company has also released a gamut of other LED TV models and Netbooks, each varying in size and features, but all promising a one-of-a-kind viewing experience that only Samsung has perfected to date.
